On April 21, 2022, Meals on Wheels hosted an event to recognize and honor our volunteer route drivers at Trinity Episcopal Church. Certificates were given to our “rookie” drivers, those in their initial year of serving our meal recipients. Then, service pins were given to drivers who have driven for longer periods, including one who has driven twenty-five years and one who has driven forty! It was a wonderful occasion highlighted by impromptu complimentary words from the Church’s Priest, Mother Kary. Refreshments followed the award presentations. Skill deficiency prevented the posting of photos from this fun event. Maybe next time!
