Volunteer route drivers are at the heart of the mission of Independence Meals on Wheels. Fortunately, we have many dedicated drivers, some who have driven for many years as well as others who are relatively new. What do they have in common? Kind and caring hearts!
(We need more drivers to keep us going strong! For one thing, we need to add at least one more route due to an increase in the number of meal recipients. But we need additional drivers even without adding a route. Interested? Or know someone who would be a good candidate? If so, give our office a call to learn more. Maybe even ride along with a driver to check it out first hand!)
MOW had a volunteer appreciation week in early December, 2023. Small, fun gifts were given to drivers along with words of appreciation from Board members. Thank you, drivers!
